KEARNEY, Mo. — Authorities have released the name of a metro man killed in a multi-car wreck on I-35 in Clay County on Monday.
Christopher Barnes, 35, of Shawnee, Kansas, was killed after he was involved in a multi-car wreck on the interstate near Kearney on Monday evening.
According to police, Barnes had gotten out of his vehicle – apparently to check on others involved in the four-vehicle crash – when he was struck and killed by another car.
The accident closed I-35 for nearly an hour on Monday night.
