KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As FOX 4 News first reported Friday night, a metro family is mourning the loss of their son after a freak accident.

The Bressette family lives in Stilwell, Kansas. They were traveling home from spring break and during a lay over in the Birmingham, Ala., airport, a 400 lb. information display sign fell on top of them, crushing and killing 10-year-old Luke Bressette.

However, some national and international journalists have misidentified the family.

Now a Boston family with the same last name is telling their relieved relatives that they’re all still alive. Heather Bressette of Boston, said her family and the Bressettes of Kansas have many eery similarities.

FOX News Nicole Jacobs reports from Boston.
