BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Associated Press reported Tuesday a large cabinet housing the flight information monitors that toppled and killed 10-year-old Luke Bresette was not inspected after installation, according to a lawyer for the city of Birmingham.
The terminal had recently undergone a $200 million renovation.
The attorney said the monitor display didn’t require inspection under municipal code because it wasn’t a structural component of the building.
