STILWELL, Kan. — The Bresette family has announced funeral plans for 10-year-old Luke Bresette, who was killed in a freak accident at the Birmingham, Ala., airport on March 22.
In a post on Facebook, Luke’s father, Ryan Bresette, said visitation for his son will be held Friday, April 5, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, located at 11800 Holmes Road in Kansas City, Mo. The family will begin greeting sympathizers at 5 p.m.
“For the visitation, we would ask that children wear a shirt representing either their favorite team or one of Luke’s favorite teams,” Ryan Bresette wrote.
The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church beginning at 10:05 a.m. Bresette said his son Luke was an avid sports fan and Major League Baseball games usually start at five after the hour.
In the Facebook post, Bresette thanked the public for their prayers and support.
“We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives,” he wrote. “Luke, we love and miss you so very much!”
