It’s prom season…. and kids these days do it up BIG!

Actually, if you aren’t around teens much, then you may not know just how magnificent prom has become.

Teenagers even go to great lengths when they ask their date to prom. There’s even a word for it now: Promposal.

Mashable.com put together a string of photo images of some of the more inventive promposals.

For example, one young man glued lego blocks to a poster board to spell out his request: “LEGO TO PROM”.

Many promposals are cute, but there’s one out there that might be considered a little mean.

One boy named Dillon wrote a very convincing, but fake, college letter to the girl he wanted to take to prom.

He even used the University of South Carolina school logo where his girlfriend Caitlyn hoped to be accepted.

The fake letter reads:

“It saddens us to say that you {sic} admissions is in jeopardy, and we may have to pull our admissions from you due to your poor school ethic and attendance. However, if you were to just agree to go to prom with your boyfriend we could reconsider letting you continue to be a South Caroline Gamecock. So what do you say, will you go to prom with me?
