Who knew seals could surf?! Two men riding the waves in Northumberland, United Kingdom, have video to prove at least one seal is ready to hang 10.
Using a Go Pro, Andrew Flounders and Mathew Stanley captured footage of a baby seal climbing on their surf boards.
The first time Andrew felt the seal brush up against his dangling foot, he kind of freaked out. What was lurking under the water?
It was just a baby seal — and he wanted to play.
The seal pup hung out with the Andrew and Mathew for about an hour before they headed back to shore. The seal even followed them. According to the video’s description on YouTube, afterward Andrew called the local marine wildlife authority to make them aware of what occurred — just in case the seal was injured in some way. But by the looks of the video, he just wanted to ride some waves!
