KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Royal’s fans got a pleasant surprise as they were grocery shopping Sunday.

Hy-Vee stores across the metro are now officially selling 2014 World Series programs. The stores just got them in stock overnight on Saturday. The programs highlight each of the players.

Fans who were shopping on Sunday say it was nice to buy something that wasn’t on their shopping list.

“It’s amazing! It’s nice you don’t usually get to see the Royals in October so it’s something this city deserves. We’re excited,” shopper Jennifer Wadle said.

The programs cost $15.00 each.
