OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A local photographer is making national news for her photographs of premature babies.
Jessica Strom takes photographs of newborn babies in the NICU for free at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Strom then gives each family access to a free app that allows them to see and show off the photos to their friends and family while the baby is still in the hospital.
“It’s the start of my photo album that will last a lifetime,” Melissa Rhoades said.
Strom took pictures of Rhoades daughter when she was in NICU.
Rhoades said she wants Jessica to use the $300 to continue helping others.
