The service Wednesday for 13-year fire veteran John Mesh will be at Saint Mark’s Catholic Church in Independence. A processional after the funeral will pass several fire stations on the way to Mount Olivet Cemetery. Multiple roadways will be closed while the processional takes place. The community is invited to stand along to route to show support for the family.

He served with the fire department for 13-years and worked on the pumper at station 10.
