BELTON, Mo. – An area school district says their school resource officer apprehended a man who was on the grounds of an elementary school while recess was in session.

The Belton School District said around 10 in the morning Wednesday, a school resource officer, who also happens to be a Belton police officer, apprehended an unidentified man who was on the east field of Gladden Elementary School while kids were out at recess. The district said kids were escorted back inside and that classes resumed as normal.

The district said a call went out to all parents of students as well as the staff informing every one of the incident.

So far it is unknown what, if any, consequences the man might face.
