KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after three people were shot and one person was killed on the city’s East Side on Sunday night.
According to Kansas City Missouri Police, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 5700 block of Mersington around 9:40 p.m. on Sunday night. There, they found a shooting victim, described as a black male in his 30’s, in the yard. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say that a second victim – described as a black female in her 40’s – was found with a gunshot wound to the arm a few blocks away in the 3800 block of East 57th Street, while a third victims – described as a black male in his 20’s – was found with a gunshot wound to the leg in the 5700 block of Swope Parkway.
There is no word on the condition of the other two gunshot victims.
Authorities say that it appears that all three victims were shot while in the 5700 block of Mersington. Police say that there is no suspect information at this time.
