LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — Lee’s Summit Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an SUV that belongs to a missing person. Detectives want to know if there is a link between a missing person’s case from Leawood to the burned body found in Lee’s Summit on Monday afternoon.

Police are trying to locate a black, 2005 Jeep Cherkoee. The SUV has Kansas plates of 726-CSL. The vehicle belongs to a person who was reported missing on May 6, 2012. If you have seen the SUV in question, please call police or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
