CALABASAS, Calif. — Justin Bieber: pop star, teen heartthrob, now criminal suspect? According to TMZ.com, Calabasas, Calif., police want to speak to the 18-year-old after he had an alleged scuffle with a paparazzo.
TMZ.com reports a paparazzo attempted to take Bieber’s picture after blocking his vehicle Sunday afternoon at The Commons Mall. Witnesses said Bieber asked the photographer to move, but he wouldn’t and that’s when a scuffle ensued.
It’s unclear what happened, but the photographer called 911 and complained of pain in his upper torso. According to witnesses, the photographer was approached by a lawyer after the incident who advised him to call for an ambulance and file a police report because he “could get a lot of money.”
TMZ reports at the time Bieber was with girlfriend Selena Gomez and that the two had left prior to officers arriving. Police said they now want to speak with Bieber, Gomez and any other witnesses.
Bieber has yet to release a comment about the incident.
