It’s the bird that just won’t hush up! Kansas City Zoo Director Randy Wistoff introduced us to a six-week old baby Lorikeet, who has been hand-raised by zoo keepers. They’re not quite sure if it’s a male or female, but they’ve named it Priss. And Priss is a chatter box! He/She is always begging for food, even when food is right in front of her (we hope it’s a her, for her name’s sake).

Watch the video to see this bird, nicknamed the rainbow bird, in action. Toward the end of the segment, Priss barely missed spraying Loren’s iPad with … well, you know.

The zoo is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend. Visit kansascityzoo.org for more information.
