KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Two trucks stolen from the Surplus Exchange have been found, according to Kansas City, Kan., police and the non-profit group.
They were found abandoned around 11 p.m. Tuesday on South Bethany Street in KCK.
According to Surplus Exchange’s operation manager Ben Martin, one truck is not drivable and both contain extensive interior damage.
“It’s definitely going to pose some difficulties for us in the coming weeks,” Martin said.
The trucks are used to help transport office furniture and electronics which will be recycled or reused to help out other non-profits. Martin said the theft of his trucks has left him frustrated.
“We’re probably going to have to go the route of renting some trucks in the meantime because we got a whole calendar worth of stuff cued up,” he said.
The group plans to pick-up the trucks from a tow lot on Thursday morning.
