BOLIVAR, Mo. — Jaden Hanson, 3, was reportedly taken by force from his mother and an Amber Alert was released in hopes for his safe return at about noon on Friday. At about 4 o’clock he was found safely in Springfield, Mo. according to a tweet from the police department.

He was suspected to have been abducted by Jamil Hanson, 29, who was taken into police custody at about 5 p.m. after an extended standoff with officers at the home where Jaden was found.

According to KY3, Jamil Hanson was spotted in Springfield by city utilities worker who followed him to the home where Jaden was rescued. Jaden is now in protective custody.
