KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Baylor Bears beat the Kansas State Wildcats 82-74 to open up Big 12 quarterfinal play at the Sprint Center on Thursday.

There were several lead changes early, but No. 12 Baylor (26-6, 12-6 Big 12) dominated play for most of the game. Baylor sophomore forward Perry Jones III hit a three-pointer to give the Bears a 16-15 lead with 11:43 left in the 1st half. K-State (21-10, 10-8 Big 12) would never regain the lead.

Baylor led 45-36 at the half, and maintained a 10 point cushion for most of the 2nd half.

Perry Jones III led Baylor in scoring, recording a double-double with 31 points and 11 rebounds. K-State forward Jordan Henriquez also had a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Baylor will play the winner of Texas A&M and Kansas on Friday.
