ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. – Police said that human remains found in a septic tank on Thursday morning may wrap up a seven-month missing person investigation. Affiliate KTVI reports the body was found in a tank located on unoccupied property northeast of Bonne Terre, Mo.
Authorities believe they know who the person is and are working to notify next of kin. An identity has not been released but an autopsy has been scheduled for Friday morning.
