MOUND CITY, Mo. — A camp this weekend will feature classes in outdoor living, tailored just for women.

The Women in the Outdoors program takes place at the Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Women will learn how to shoot rifles, fish, and call turkeys.

Coordinator Lori Stickler says the women “meet new people and new friends and learn new experiences that’s only a once in a lifetime thing.”

As of Friday morning, more than 55 women were signed up for the weekend. It kicks off on Friday evening with a hog roast and a hayride.
