KANSAS CITY, Mo. — If you love chocolate, you’re not alone. Chip’s Chocolate has a great selection to satisfy your chocolate needs.

Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, there’s also some glazed and marbled. Everyone has a favorite.

Mark Hull and his wife, Kaishya, came for the cookies and cream chocolate bark. They followed their nose right into Chip’s.

“It smells like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory,” said Hull.

They left with a handful of goodies. The holiday season is right when demand for all things chocolate picks up.

Nicole Herman, the Chip’s Chocolate Factory owner said, “this is the calm before the storm. Starting next week, it’s busy.”

Experts say there might even be a full blown shortage – we’re eating faster than the cocoa makers can produce. But owner Nicole Herman isn’t worried.

“We import form Switzerland. We haven’t had problems with a supply,” she said.

Another reason not to worry, the world is not running out of chocolate just yet. Experts say the chocolate withdrawal probably won’t start until the year 2020.

In the meantime, have a cup of cocoa or a chocolate dipped pretzel stick. There’s 120 pounds of gooey goodness made every day at this store.
