One Dead After Car Plunges Into Brush Creek

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A car went off the road and into Brush Creek around 9:25 a.m. Sunday. Crews rescued a man and continued to search the water for others.

Fire officials told FOX 4 the car was submerged anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

He was believed to be the only person in the car.

Officials interviewed several teens who witnessed the accident, but not many details surrounding the accident have been released.
