KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Crews are in overdrive across the metro working to keep streets clear and drivers safe.

Besides keeping snow off the roads, workers are moving quick to make sure ice doesn’t stick around either, as many head out this New Year’s Eve.

Kansas City has more than 200 road crews spreading salt and chemical deicer to reduce slick spots and to help keep wet spots from freezing overnight.
