KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A De Soto, Kan., man is a millionaire after buying a scratch-off lottery ticket at a convenience store on State Line Road in Kansas City worth $4 million.
Michael Schulte claimed his prize on July 25. He had the option of taking the 20-year annuity or a lump-sum payment of $2.6 million. It’s unclear which payment he chose.
