TAMPA, Fla. — A private investigator hired by Jose Baez, the defense attorney for Casey Anthony, claims Baez admitted that Casey Anthony killed and disposed of the body of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

The investigator’s claims were revealed in court documents from Casey Anthony’s bankruptcy filing in April.

According to WFTS, private investigator Dominic Casey said Baez hired him just days after police arrested Anthony in July 2008.

“Baez had told me that Casey had murdered Caylee and dumped the body somewhere and, he needed all the help he could get to find the body before anyone else did,” he said.

The investigator also said Casey Anthony wanted to blame the man who ended up discovering her daughter’s body by proposing her attorneys say he kidnapped her.

Meter reader Roy Gronk found the girl’s body in the woods near her grandparents’ home. The private investigator said Anthony allowed her legal team to try pointing blame at Gronk, “to portray him as a murderer and/or kidnapper of Caylee Anthony.”

The investigator also claimed that he saw Anthony run naked from a room where she was engaging in sexual activity with her attorney because “she had no money for defense.”

Private investigator Casey said he stopped working with the legal team in October 2008.

In 2011, a Florida jury found Casey Anthony not guilty  in connection to the death of her daughter.
