You do a good deed and then BAM something happens that messes it all up.
That’s what happened to a West Point cadet. He released a mouse into the wild, only to have it snatched up seconds later by a hungry hawk. The cadet watches in dismay as the bird flies off with the rodent.
“Oh no! Oh no! Noooo,” he said. “Are you kidding me? He didn’t last five minutes! I’m a terrible person.” Exacerbated, the cadet says, “Oh my gosh. Let’s get out of here.”
Some have questioned the authenticity of the video. Others have come to its defense.
According to grindtv.com, one person defended the video on Reddit saying, “One commenter said, “This is definitely real. I personally know the guy and saw his Facebook comments about a mouse in his barracks room for the past couple of days, concluding with a final status update about a hawk swooping in to snatch the mouse just moments after he had released it. Amazingly, they caught it on video. This was filmed at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.”
