WASHINGTON D.C. — Actor George Clooney was arrested Friday morning during a protest in front of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.

The actor was cuffed along with other activists, including his father, Nick Clooney and Virginia Congressman Jim Moran, all there to bring awareness to alleged war crimes in South Sudan. Clooney and other activists blame the Sudanese government for attacks there that have injured and killed civilians.

Clooney met with President Barack Obama on Thursday to discuss his concerns about Sudan.
