ATLANTA, Georgia – Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is at the center of a heated dispute between the two families, which started with the funeral of Whitney Houston.
Bobbi Kristina, 21, has been in a medically induced coma for over a week, since she was located inside a bath tub unconscious on January 31. However according to TMZ, her family has already been arguing over her funeral arrangements because of events stemming from the funeral of Bobbi Kristina’s mother.
Bobby Brown’s side of the family told TMZ about concerns they have about feeling the same way they did years ago when Bobbi’s mother, Whitney Houston, died. They say Bobby Brown was reportedly told by the Houston family that he could not sit with his own daughter at Whitney’s funeral.
Sources tell TMZ that several members of the Brown family have been barred from the hospital room where Bobbi Kristina has been staying.
On Friday, Atlanta police say a relative of singer Bobby Brown hit another relative in the head with a bottle during a fight at a hotel during a birthday celebration.
Police spokeswoman Kim Jones says officers responded to the W Hotel early Friday in midtown, though the reason for the fight was unclear. Police say Tina Brown hit Shayne Brown in the head with a bottle. Police did not specify their relationships to Bobby Brown.
Tina Brown reportedly left the scene before police arrived. Shayne Brown had cuts on his head and drove himself to a hospital. No charges were filed in that case.
Police continue to investigate what caused Bobbi Kristina to end up unconscious inside her own home.
