KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In addition to hoops fans, comic book, video game, and sci-fi fans are also gathering in downtown Kansas City for their big event, Planet Comicon. At least one fan in town may be in heaven this weekend. Iowa State fan John Wright is also a superhero and Star Trek fan.
“It was just kind of a serendipitous moment. Really with everything coming together with Iowa her, Iowa State here, sorry about that, and the Comicon. It was just fantastic,” Wright said.
Wright said he couldn’t pass up a trip to KC from Iowa with two things he loves in one place. Comiccon features all sorts of attractions, but most say they’re really thrilled to meet the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
