OTTAWA, Kan. — Friends and family of Kaylie Bailey had tried to prepare themselves for the news they suspected, but when they heard Wednesday that one of the bodies found on a rural Franklin County, Kan., farm was indeed Kaylie Bailey, it didn’t cushion the blow or the pain.

On Tuesday night, two high school friends of Kaylie Bailey created the ‘Find Lana and Kaylie Bailey’ Facebook page.

“We were so distressed, distraught, in shock that Kaylie was actually missing,” said her friend, Sasha Woods, a friend from high school.

“We felt like there wasn’t being enough done for the little girl. That’s what really sparked this,” said Todd Hill.

Lana and Kaylie Bailey were last seen last week. On Wednesday, the Franklin County Sheriff announced the three murder victims were Kaylie Bailey, 21, Andrew Stout, 30, and Steven White, 31.

Both White and Stout lived at the farm.

“We hope for the best but we prepare for the worst,” Hill said.

“It’s true what they say bad things happen to good people and you know you see it all the time on the news,” said Woods. “So, I mean, might as well put my perspective in it too. And I can honestly say, it’s true.”
