TONGANOXIE, Kan. — Hundreds of people are expected to attend the funeral of Ronda Andrews, 53, a second grade teacher in Tonganoxie who was killed Friday in a car accident at an intersection that many consider dangerous.

Andrews was driving to get her hair cut and do other errands in Basehor, Kan., when she was hit by a truck at the intersection of U.S. 24/40 at 158th Street. She was turning west onto the highway from 158th Street when the truck hit her in the driver’s door.

Her funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday at Genesis Christian Academy in Tonganoxie.
