KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The All-Star excitement is building up at Kauffman Stadium, but not inside the stadium — in the parking lot.
One nail at a time, volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Major League Baseball will build a home for a family in Tuscaloosa, Ala,. and for a family in Joplin.
Vic and Lora met on a Habitat site 15 years ago. They feel it’s important to continue the work they love and brought them together.
“I think it’s a great way to give people the opportunity to help themselves in life,” Vic said.
