OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Drivers who plan to use I-435 in Overland Park this weekend need to figure out an alternate route, as the interstate will be shut down to allow crews to tear down a pair of bridges.
Starting at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, both east-and west-bound lanes of I-435 will be closed so that crews can remove two of the three Quivira Road bridges that cross the interstate.
Officials say that the interstate is set to reopen no later than 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
