KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Police posted a picture of a rooster to their facebook page, identifying the bird as “Red.”
Apparently, Red has taken up residence at the stables where the police department keeps its horses for the Mounted Patrol.
The police department post says, “He was spared the fate of being dinner and now hangs out with the police horses.”
The picture had received 800+ likes on Wednesday morning and a few of clever comments from residents included:
“Kool. Give him a badge and a gun, he can be a guard bird,” said one commenter.
“Super Rooster! On Poultry Patrol!” said another.
“Good luck with keeping him there. The trouble is that he will very likely turn mean and try to flog and spur everyone he sees.”
