KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police investigated a homicide scene last Monday night after one black male was found dead as the result of gunfire. Police identified the victim on Wednesday as 21-year-old Darrin Duncan.

The scene was located in the 2900 block of E. 22nd Street and Kansas City Police Chief Darryl Forte tweeted that Duncan was found in a vehicle.

A police spokeswoman said that officers were dispatched to the scene shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday. Duncan was pronounced dead at the scene. Police haven’t named any suspects yet and are urging anyone with information about the crime to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.

The homicide is the city’s fourth so far in 2014.
