KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police said they are prepared for Kansas City’s annual St. Patrick’s day parade.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday and lasts about two hours. LIVE coverage begins on Antenna TV (digital 4.2) and online at fox4kc.com at 11:30 a.m.
The parade begins on Broadway, beginning at Linwood, and goes south to 43rd Street.
Broadway will be closed from 31st to 47th streets beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Linwood from Main to Pennsylvania and Broadway from 31st to Linwood will also be closed beginning at 8:15 a.m. for the parade staging area.
Cars parked anywhere along the parade route or staging area must be moved by 4 a.m. Sunday.

After the parade, police said there will be extra enforcement in areas around Westport.
Police said they also planned to conduct sobriety checkpoints throughout the weekend.
