KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Fireworks and the Fourth of July go hand in hand—but depending on where you live in the metro, they could be illegal.

In Kansas City, Kansas, it’s legal to sell, buy and set off fireworks. But it’s just the opposite across the state line in KCMO, where fireworks remain illegal.

Not that many of the people buying fireworks across the area care one way or another, of course.
