Lifelong fan fashions new dance in Kauffman Stadium stands

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the Kansas City Royals make a run at the postseason, a lifelong fan is making a run at internet immortality. His name is Jimmy Faseler and his specialty, the Kauffman Twerk.

It’s a dance Faseler busted out in the sixth inning during Monday night’s game. By bust out, we mean it. His belly was exposed and the moving and grooving did not stop. Faseler left nothing to the imagination and isn’t shy about it.

“I kinda looked at the cameraman and just nodded, made eye contact, I said, ‘Hey buddy, I’ve got no shame, things went from there,” explained Faseler.

What he didn’t expect was getting bombarded with comments and interview requests all day Tuesday. The funny thing is, he had no idea the dance went viral until he heard from his mom.

“That’s how I found out I was on national television, from my mom. She sent me a text saying, ‘Hey sweetie, I saw you on TV, I think you need a bigger shirt,'” said Faseler.

The Royals organization was impressed with the dance and offered up some tickets to Tuesday’s game and Faseler gladly accepted. He also accepted a suggestion to change the dance name from “Bringing the Thunder” to the “Kauffman Twerk”.

“That sounds perfect, it’s a lot better than what some other people are saying, Kauffman Twerk, I love it, I love it, I hope more people join in,” Faseler said.

They may not join in, but some Royals players are all for the dance.

“I’m sure he’ll get everyone real fired up and keep brining added energy that we’ve been feeding off of,” said Eric Hosmer, Royals first baseman.

“I dig that, I dig that Kauffman Twerk.” added Jarrod Dyson, Royals outfielder.

What you likely won’t see at future games, so much skin. The Royals gave Faseler an extra extra large shirt. Faseler, a big time hockey fan, is also getting some love from the Missouri Mavericks. The team has already pledged a brand new hoodie. Faseler was wearing the team hoodie on Monday night when the dance began. The new one will stand up to all the Kauffman Twerking Faseler can bring.
