Man fights shark, brings it to shore

NANTUCKET, Mass. — Chalk this up to a normal day for Elliot Sudal, only because this isn’t the first time it’s happened.

Sudal was fishing on a Nantucket beach when he noticed his reel was bitten in half. We should mention, the other half was “hanging out” with a seven-foot long, 200 pound shark.

After fighting with the shark for 45 minutes, he handed off his fishing rod and hit the water, CBSNews.com reported.

“You have to run in the water and grab it by the tail and pull it on shore because you can’t just drag it on because they’re too heavy,” Sudal told WBZ.

The shark was on the shore for about a minute before Sudal put him back in the water. WBZ reported he has caught more than 100 sharks in the last eight months.
