KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Police are investigating a homicide that happened on the city’s east side. Officers were called to 39th & Oakley just after 9 p.m. on Saturday.
When they arrived, they found 50-year-old James Jackson lying in the street. Jackson had been shot and killed.
