INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — A Blue Springs man charged with abandoning the corpse of a woman in a creek in Cass County was scheduled to be sentenced in Jackson County court in Independence Friday afternoon.
Lance Gross, 52, is charged with abandoning the corpse of 48-year-old Peggy Perez.. According to Blue Springs Police, Perez died in Lance Gross’ home on January 20th while the couple was having sex.
Prosecutors say that Lance Gross waited for three days before calling his brother, Marlin Gross, 49, in to help wrap Perez’s body in plastic and throw it in a creek at 315th St and T Highway in Cass County.
Brothers Charged with Dumping Body After ‘Rough Sex’ Death
According to the victim’s sister, Perez met Lance Gross at a VFW bar in Kansas City late last year, and said that the two were dating.
