KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A local developer, IAS, has agreed to purchase the Metro North Mall property, providing hope for redevelopment in the future.
The mall itself is closed. Only the Macy’s store and a few nearby restaurants continue to operate on the property.
IAS has redeveloped Blue Ridge Mall in the past, and continues to redevelop Antioch Center.
Another developer is building new homes nearby, which could potentially bring 70,000 new residents to the area.
