INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – One Missouri couple tied the knot this weekend at an area Bass Pro Shop location.

It wasn’t exactly a shotgun wedding, but it could have been. Bryan Smock and Tammy Mitchell, a couple from Missouri, got married inside a banquet hall at Bass Pro Shop in Independence, Mo., on Saturday.

Neither Mitchell nor Smock work at the store, but said they had a simple reason for choosing the store as the place they said their nuptials.

“Well, we’re very big into fishing and the outdoors. So, I got a hold of the manager here and asked him if we could do it in the banquet room here, and he gladly allowed us to use his room here, and we thought it’d be a great area to do it at and, so, here we are,” said Smock about their choice of venue.

The banquet room at Bass Pro Shop is a reserved space separated from the rest of the store. Only invited guests attended the couple’s wedding.
