KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Transportation is asking drivers to report any serious potholes they see on Missouri highways and roads.

Officials said they will check facebook posts on their page and tweets sent to them reporting potholes.

“The rain and the change in temperature really make the potholes blossom in the spring,” said Ed Hassinger, MoDot District engineer.

They also want to remind people to be look out for road workers and construction zones.

“So, if you see these guys out there, give them some space, because there’s going to be people on the pavement patching those potholes. And, we want to make sure they’re safe and go home safe every night,” he said.
