KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The woman accused of setting a fire that killed two Kansas City firefighters will appear in court on Thursday.
Thu Hong Nguyen faces charges of arson and murder.
Investigators say she poured chemicals in the stockroom of her nail salon and lit it on fire. The fire spread through the building in Kansas City’s old northeast in October.

Kansas City firefighters Larry Leggio and John Mesh lost their lives when the building collapsed.
Nguyen is expected to ask a judge to lower her bond. Her family says she is innocent.
Nguyen’s hearing is at 1 p.m.
