TOPEKA, Kan. — Don’t be surprised if you see people carrying guns inside Kansas state buildings. Beginning Monday, legally licensed firearms will be allowed in all state office buildings — that’s unless they’re listed as exempt under the new law.
The 2013 Kansas legislature passed a measure permitting concealed cary of guns in public buildings with certain exceptions.
State correctional facilities, courtrooms and law enforcement agencies are generally exempt from the new law.
