A 46-year-old nurse who cared for Aurora shooting victims at the University of Colorado Hospital last month drowned after swimming in an Iowa lake on Aug. 6, the Huffington Post reports.
Jennifer Gallagher was reportedly taking a night-time swim in West Okoboji Lake in Iowa. She was found the following day under a dock by a family member. Gallagher was one of the nurses who met with President Obama when he visited Aurora on July 22.
According to the Huffington Post, Gallagher worked for the University of Colorado Hospital for 13 years.
