KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After seven decades, broadcasting legend Walt Bodine signed off of his longtime radio show on Friday.

Over the years, Bodine has worked at seven radio stations and four television stations, including WDAF-TV.

He’s hosted his radio show on KCUR since 1983, but reduced his role there to only once a week.

In May 2010, FOX 4’s Tess Koppelman talked to Walt Bodine about his long career and about the day of his retirement.
