KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s been quite awhile since it’s snowed in Kansas City. In fact, Kansas City hasn’t seen any significant snowfall since Feb. 24, 2011, when six inches fell! But just because Mother Nature is holding out, that doesn’t mean you can’t make your own!

December 27 is National Cut-Out Snowflake Day, and there are a variety of options when it comes to creating your own.

  • For those of you who want to make yours the old-fashioned way (out of paper), visit instructables.com for directions how.
  • If you want to make a virtual snowflake, visit snowflakes.barkleyus.com.
  • And if you want to make yours using Photoshop, click here.

After you’ve made your snowflake using any of the above three methods, upload it to our online snowflake photo gallery.
