KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s been a fun day of celebration around the metro. And that fun began with some parades across the city.
People living in Lionsgate kicked off the morning with a breakfast and a patriotic morning parade. Kids decorated bikes and wagons in red, white and blue to take part in all the fun.
And over in Lenexa, it’s full of red, white and blue. The city hosted its annual Independence Day festivities.
The party began early Thursday with a freedom run and parade. Thousands of people come out each year to take part in the tradition.
