INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — One woman has kept the Independence softball league going for decades. She does this voluntarily and now her players want her to know how much they appreciate her and all she has done for the league.
The Independence Girls Softball Association has been running for years, but Shirley Cottrell has committed herself to the leagues success since 1978.
